Don’t you hate it when people say that they "OWN" an animal? Animals shouldn’t be treated as posessions, and deserve to be treated right! I have herd some pretty cool other ways of saying their experience is that they care for a pet such as:
-slave to {type of animal}
-{animal} mommy
-care provider to {animal}
So no need to tell people that you own an animal because animals are not property.
That’s kinda a strange question.
I mean, we do feel possesive of our pets, i know i hate it when my pets like some one more… and i get very pissed off and want to smack the people who knowingly feed my cats with the intention of luring them to be their pets…
but, yes i agree that yo can never truly own an animal’s spirit, and looking at them as family or friends may be better…
but technically, we own them… quite simply, we pay for them/fill out the forms for them, they are ours, but not in the same way as a handbag or shoes….
my dog needs to see a vet. and he doesn’t have health care insurance…..are libbies making sure that he is on my health care insurance plan?…lol…just so government doesn’t have to shell out another couple of billion for animal rights groups…..lol
By the time this administration is through your dog will definitely have better health care than humans.
My local pet store has Blue mystery and apple snails. which ones are easier to take care of and will adapt better to a 1 gallon? The snail will be alone in the tank but i will get the necesary plants, calcium suppliments ect.
The mystery snail should be alright, I think.
Just be sure to keep the top covered. I’ve had 3 crawl out and die.
I have just started a dog sitting business and I am would like to file a dispute about PayPal for putting my business in the wrong category. They put my business in the non profit organization category and my business is in the pet care, pet sitting service category. Does anyone here know how I can file a dispute against PayPal about this? If so, can anyone provide any details or some information about how I can go about doing this?
Thanks.
just call them up. it takes a while before you actually talk to someone in the phillipines but that’s the only way. you will never get your point across in emails.
Critics claim that Bush missed signs of the 9/11 attack because he was preoccupied with plans for war against Iraq.
Now we see that Obama disregarded national security and missed signs of the 12/25 attack because he was preoccupied with health care reform.
Were both presidents at fault for leaving the country on autopilot while they pursued some narrow pet cause?
A leader can not lead a nation by pursuing one issue to the exclusion of all other issues.
Obama is turning out to be exactly the same as Bush in many ways.
It is sickening to see the double standards of the liberals, who are not responding with the same outrage against Obama as they did against Bush, even though he is doing many of the same things.
I’m not sure if our nation can ever be healed as long as we have this bitter divisiveness.
I’m writing a story, and in the story I need the main character’s box turtle to die. The turtle is only about a year old. However, the main character took very good care of it, so I need a reason why it would suddenly die.
If you took good care of a turtle, why would it suddenly die? Are there any health problems that turtles are prone to?
Any info appreciated. Thanks very much!
If it was truly well taken care of, it would not suddenly die.
Turtles generally do not have health problems that are not easily preventable with proper care.
My suggestion for the story is to have the cat, dog, or little brother kill the turtle somehow.
will this take?
Not very. That guy can’t read. He was the child that got left behind.
On to the seriousness. It’s called a filibuster. It can go on a long time. Strom Thurmond conducted a filibuster that went on for 24 hours and 18 minutes, nonstop, in a failed attempt to kill the Civil Rights Act of 1957. He read from the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights, Washington’s Farewell Address, and a bunch of phone books.
The catch is that only a Senator can conduct one. G-Dub is right out.
That’s what I need It cost me more for my pets than myself.*
A New Hampshire atheist is offering Christians who believe in the Rapture a service to look after their pets when they get taken up into eternity, the New Hampshire Union Leader reports.
Bart Centre, 61, a retired retailing executive, is co-owner of Eternal Earthbound Pets, which charges $110 for the pet service.
"It’s a money-making venture," he said, calling it a "win-win situation."
Click here to view his website.
Centre says he has called up a network of atheist families and friends in 22 states, who would step in to look after the animals.
Coverage is good for 10 years, he says. If there is no Rapture by then, he keeps the cash.
"There are no refunds," he said. "If I thought the Rapture was really going to happen, I wouldn’t have the business."
He says he’s gotten 4,000 emails, mostly from fellow atheists. About 10%, he says, are Christians who think it’s a fun idea and wish him luck, and an undisclosed handful who have even signed up for the service.
The paper quotes Terry James, editor of a popular, Arkansas-based Christian website called Rapture Ready, as finding the project amusing.
"It’s a scam," he tells the paper, " . . . Anyone who would take that offer seriously, well, how would you even follow up?"
But James concedes that the pet issue is real. He says he has written a pamphlet to worried Christians counseling that if people in Heaven find they miss their pets, they can decide to have them brought up later.
My question…is this where the saying a sucker is born every minute comes from?
That, and anyone believing in a god.
He lost his job a year ago and has since lost others. Prior to that he’d had his job 5 years when we met and had worked up to a pretty nice income. I am the primary provider for our family, and he does nothing around the house to help. I do everything except his laundry. All the child care, house cleaning, vehicle maintenance, appointments, pet care I have to handle or they don’t get done. Now he has resorted to lying to me to cover his laziness. It’s pretty bad when my 5 year-old will call him on it. He used to be very helpful now he’s just a lazy slob and I am getting sick to the point I don’t even want him around. Is there any hope?
Give him an ultimatum….get a job, limit the video games (severely - maybe 1 hour a day), or you are divorcing him.
